Official Android 4.3 firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S4 leaks out

Android 4.3

The Android 4.3 firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S4 is now available for download unofficially, as the firmware has leaked out. It was previously rumored that the smartphone will get the update by October. This firmware is apparently close to the final release of the update, so don’t expect any massive changes on board when Samsung officially starts rolling out Android 4.3 for the Galaxy S4. The folks at Sam Mobile have been kind enough to post a video showing the functioning of the new OS while also explaining the changes it brings compared to Android 4.2.2. The leaked firmware can be flashed onto your Android 4.2.2 running Galaxy S4, provided you have root access on the device.

The usual Android 4.3 specific changes are on board along with support for Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy which should bring compatibility with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch as well. If you’re the impatient types, head over to the source link and flash the ROM yourself. But since the official release of the update isn’t far away, it might not be a bad idea to wait.
