The LG Nexus 5 should in all likelihood break cover by the end of October as rumors in the past have suggested. But there has been plenty of confusion regarding the day of announcement and launch. Some rumors have pegged an October 28 announcement and a subsequent launch while others seemed to believe that the smartphone would be announced on October 25. And now we have information regarding the actual launch/availability of the smartphone in the U.S. and Canada, coming from Canadian source Mobile Syrup. According to the site, the Nexus 5 will launch on October 31st in the U.S. and shortly after in Canada on November 8. This is not confirmed information of course, so take it with a pinch of salt for now. We hope to have more information on the launch as we head towards the end of this week.
The much awaited Nexus 5 is rumored to pack a 5 inch 1080p IPS display, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP camera with OIS, 16 and 32GB of internal storage variants, a 2,300 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat among other things. The hardware and design of the Nexus 5 is no secret, but it’s the actual launch date which has created quite a lot of mystery.
