HTC EVO 4G LTE getting Android 4.3 and Sense 5 later this year

The President of HTC USA, Jason Mackenzie has tweeted that the HTC EVO 4G LTE on Sprint will be getting the Android 4.3 update bundled with the Sense 5 user interface later this year. Although he refrained from mentioning a specific time frame, it’s good news to know that an update is on the horizon. The smartphone is more than an year old and launched alongside the HTC One X smartphone in the U.S. Although it didn’t get the recognition and success HTC was hoping for, a large number of users still own the device, so the update is very welcome.

Hardware is not an issue for the smartphone, so HTC can go ahead and release the update while Sprint will take some time to add its own tweaks and custom apps to the smartphone. Users might have to wait until December to experience Android 4.3, but that’s nothing compared to the suite of features the update will bring along with that awesome Sense interface with features like BlinkFeed and so on.
