Virgin Mobile launches ZTE Awe for $99.99


Virgin Mobile has just launched a new budget handset called the ZTE Awe. The highlight of the smartphone is the price, as Virgin is only charging $99.99 it comes fully unlocked as well. The ZTE Awe packs a nifty 4 inch 480×800 display, a 5MP main camera along with a 1MP front camera, a 1.2 GHz single core processor, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 4GB of storage with a microSD card slot and a 1,650 mAh battery.

The smartphone also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, which is a load off your battery. Voice/data Plans for the ZTE Awe begin from $35 a month which comes with 300 minutes of voice and unlimited texts and data. $55 a month will fetch you a fully unlimited plan. The smartphone doesn’t support LTE so users will be limited to using 3G instead.

This new offering from Virgin Mobile won’t appeal to power users, but is still something to check out considering the price. The smartphone can be bought from the Virgin Mobile link below or through one of its many retail stores around the U.S.
