Sprint will be launching the Moto X on its network today. The 16GB version will cost $199.99 with a two year contract. In an effort to lure in new customers, Sprint is offering $100 credit back for customers switching from other carriers. So effectively, new customers can get the Sprint Moto X for just $99.99. Sprint also revealed the availability of the Moto Maker customization site in the coming months, which is great news. So it seems like AT&T’s exclusivity won’t last long after all. The smartphone will be sold in the Woven Black and Woven White color variants for the time being.
If you need a refresher on the specs of the Moto X, the smartphone comes with a unique Motorola X8 chipset, a 10MP camera, a 4.7 inch 720p display, Android 4.2.2, 2GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of storage options, a 2,200 mAh battery and a plethora of software features like Active Display and an always on voice recognition system which is listening to the user at all times.
