Sony Xperia M arrives off contract in the US

The Sony Xperia Z1 may be the talk of the town, with the high-end specs and incredible 20MP camera, but Sony also has an exciting mid-range selection of smartphones and one of them, the Xperia M, has made its way to the US.

Sony has added the Xperia M to their online store and it comes at the cheap price of $249 off contract, almost the same price carriers offer their high-end smartphones out with a two year contract deal.

The Sony Xperia M does not have the greatest specs and was announced a while back, before the Xperia Z1. It will come with a small 4-inch 854×480 display, dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz and 1GB of RAM keeping the experience smooth.

Sony’s main appeal for the Xperia M is connectivity, the device sports Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and ANT+ allowing users to connect to fellow Xperia M smartphones and NFC enabled TVs and sports devices.

Colors available for the Xperia M include white, black, purple and yellow. Currently, purple is out of stock and the user can only get three back colors. The US version will only have a single-SIM, unlike the Asian version with dual-SIM compatibility.

For $249 off contract, this is a very appealing deal for anyone who is just looking for an Android device with nice design. The Xperia M is definitely one of the best deals on a mid-range phone we can find in the US.
