Sony has just unveiled two new portable battery chargers for smartphones and tablets dubbed as the CP-F5 and the CP-F10L. The CP-F5 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery and one full sized USB slot to charge smartphones or tablets on the go.
The CP-F10L however is double the capacity at 10,000 mAh and is ideally suited for tablets. It also has 2 USB slots to charge two devices simultaneously. Both battery packs come equipped with an aluminum outer casing. For the time being, these portable battery packs are available only in India, but it shouldn’t be long until global markets get a glimpse of this.
The CP-F10L battery will take 1.5 hours to be drained completely and will take close to 8 hours for a full charge. The smaller CP-F5 however will take 6 hours to fully replenish while taking 2 hours to drain out completely. The CP-F5 costs 2,790 Indian Rupees ($42) while the CP-F10L should cost a little more at 5,090 Indian Rupees ($76).
