Smart Devices W1 Smartwatch Arriving This Month

Smartwatches are coming into the spotlight recently with Samsung, Sony, and even Qualcomm showing their upcoming models. A Chinese device company called Smart Devices is also planning to release its very first smartwatch this month called the W1.  The company might not be popular outside of China but it has released several interesting products before such as the SmartQ U7 tablet that comes with a built-in projector.

The W1 can easily pair with any Android smartphone allowing it to handle phone calls, text messages, and emails just to name a few. The device allows users to listen to music, get updates on the time and weather, or display calendar appointments.

The price of this device hasn’t been revealed yet and there’s no information about its global availability. What is known so far is that it will be released this month.

Wearable technology is expected to become a big market in the coming months and devices falling under this category include smartwatches. These watches act as a second display to the smartphone so that users can immediately view the latest notifications without taking the phone out of their pocket.

Several popular manufacturers have already announced their smartwatch models. Samsung has the Galaxy Gear, Qualcomm has the Toq, while Sony has the Smartwatch 2.
