Little known manufacturer Ramos has just launched four new Android tablets powered by Intel’s dual core Clover Trail+ processors. These tablets will be concentrated towards the Chinese markets for the time being with no word on global availability. The company has decided to price the tablets attractively to make them appealing to the public. Dubbed as the i8, i9, i10 and the i12, these tablets come in different shapes and sizes. All four tablets pack the Intel Z2580 Atom dual core processor clocked at 2 GHz.
Starting with the smallest of the four, the i8 comes with a 1280×800 resolution display, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The i9 however comes with a larger 9 inch 1920×1200 display, 2GB of RAM and 2GB of RAM. The i10 and i12 sport a 10.1 inch (1920×1200) and 11.6 inch (1920×1080) display respectively with pretty much the same hardware as the i9.
The i9 is expected for a release this Sunday on the 15th for an estimated price of 1,199 Chinese Yuan or $195. But there’s no word on the release date or pricing of the remaining three tablets. Expect these tablets to make their way to Amazon or other global retailers in a few months from now. This could well be the last of the Clover Trail+ devices that we’ll see in the marketplace with the new Bay Trail chips making their way.
