The Motorola Droid 5 has just leaked in a flurry of images and comes with some specs to go along with it. This certainly brings back memories of the Motorola’s iconic droids with slide out QWERTY keyboards. The smartphone seems to have a prominent Verizon branding at the bottom, so we know where it’s heading. The specs sheet of the smartphone doesn’t suggest that it’s a high end device, so we might not see this selling as much as the Moto X or the new Droid lineup on Verizon.
The leaked specs sheet reveals that the smartphone packs a 4.3 inch 720p display, 16GB of internal storage with microSD support, 1GB of RAM, a dual core Snapdragon S4 Plus chip and an older version of Moto Blur probably with Android 4.1. There’s also support for wireless charging.
Looking at the hardware, one can’t help but imagine if this was a shelved product which is only seeing the light of the day now. So don’t hold your breath to see this QWERTY Motorola droid to make its way to Verizon’s shelves anytime soon. However, if Verizon actually plans to bring this smartphone to the market, you’ll be the first to know.
