The Moto X is already available through Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular in the United States and it seems like a fifth carrier will be added to the list soon. An image has revealed dummy units of the Moto X making its way to Cricket Wireless, which is one of the several prepaid carriers of the country. These dummy units of the smartphone have arrived in a shipment titled XFON PP11310.
It seems like Motorola wants to get the smartphone on as many carriers as possible so as to move units in large numbers. The smartphone is now shipping in excess of 100,000 units every week and the addition of Cricket Wireless should only come as good news for Motorola. These dummy units signify the inevitable arrival of the real thing, but there’s still no word on its official launch yet. Expect an announcement from Motorola or Cricket Wireless in the next couple of days, as a weekend launch cannot be ruled out.
