LG targets to sell 10 million units of the G2 smartphone

The LG G2 is undoubtedly one of the most popular smartphones in the world today along with the Galaxy Note 3 and the new iPhones. LG has clearly come a long way since the days of those midrange Optimus smartphones and has managed to make a dramatic turnaround to stand neck-in-neck with stalwarts like Samsung. And according to a new report from China, LG hopes to continue its merry run in the industry with the LG G2 as it expects to sell more than 10 million units of the smartphone.

The G2 is already off to a good start in the U.S. where it is available on select carriers. Packing a unique design and top notch hardware, the G2 is a true flagship handset. So we’re not surprised with LG’s estimates. The smartphone is still gradually being rolled out in global markets, so we’ll have a clearer picture of the smartphone’s sales after the holiday season.

To refresh your memory, the smartphone packs a 5.2 inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 800 quad core chip, 13MP camera on the back, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a 3,000 mAh battery.
