Android 4.4 KitKat release date confirmed by Nestle employee

Android 4.4 KitKat

A Nestle employee has spilled the beans on the release of Android 4.4 KitKat through the KitKat Facebook page. The information was given out in response to a user’s query regarding the launch of Android 4.4. This is not the first time we’re coming across an October release date and certainly not the last. Android 4.4 is rumored to launch with the new Nexus 5 smartphone as well as the ASUS made Nexus 10. Of course, this doesn’t come through as confirmation since nothing has been made official just yet, but it seems pretty legitimate given that Nestle and Google are partners for Android 4.4 KitKat.

The newest version of Android is slated to come with a plethora of new features, most of which are still unknown. But it has been said that Google will add support for 64 bit processors, much like Apple did with iOS 7 recently. Google’s partnership with Nestle will certainly go a long way in spreading out the word about the latest version of Android. Unlike previous iterations of the OS, Google has been pretty open about the arrival of Android 4.4 KitKat, with a KitKat statue going up at its HQ earlier this month.
