Acer Iconia A3

Acer has just announced the Iconia A3 tablet just days before the IFA 2013 event in Berlin. The tablet will soon go on sale in the Middle East, Africa and Europe followed by other regions. The Iconia A3 packs a 10.1 inch 1280×800 resolution IPS display, a 1.2 GHz quad core (ARM A7) processor, 16 or 32GB storage variants with a microSD card slot and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The tablet also comes with “a virtualized 5.1-channel surround experience over headphones“.

Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro HDMI port for mirroring content onto a bigger screen. Pricing for the Acer A3 tablet will start from €249 ($329), which isn’t too bad for a large sized tablet.

The company also announced new color variants for the Acer Iconia A1 and B1 tablets. The Iconia B1 can now be bought in Vermilion Red and Oceanic Blue colors while the A1 can be snatched up in Ivory Gold, Smokey Grey and White variants. Pricing remains unchanged for these tablets.
