Last month we announced that ZTE will be releasing a smartphone that’s going to use Nvidia’s Tegra 4 processor. This processor is based on ARM’s Cortex-A15 architecture and was announced last January. So far only a few tablets are using this processor with no smartphone model having it. This is about to change as ZTE is making its final preparations to launch the ZTE U988S which if all goes well will have the distinction of becoming the world’s first Tegra 4 smartphone.
ZTE has been working on the U988S for quite some time now and have already started handing out review units to select Chinese media. This means that a release date is soon to be expected. The company has also revealed that the device will cost 1,999 Yuan which converts to roughly $326.
The price is very competitive and with its amazing specs a lot of people will definitely be tempted to buy it.
