According to Tmo News, the T-Mobile Moto X which is all geared up for a launch could be sold through the Google Play Store. According to a screenshot of T-Mobile’s internal page, the smartphone will be available through “Google Play only” with the date listed as TBD. This comes off as a surprise to us as the T-Mobile chief mentioned that the smartphone will be made available only through Motorola’s retail outlets during launch.
We’re not quite sure how this new arrangement will work, but we’re guessing Motorola will sell it directly via Google with a T-Mobile SIM. The Moto X is already available on AT&T and Verizon while T-Mobile and Sprint are yet to give out details on launch. It shouldn’t be too long now as newer smartphones are all set to hit the shelves. We can expect T-Mobile to provide more clarity on the launch of the Moto X along with the pricing. This could well be the Play Store edition Moto X we’ve been hearing about.
