IFA is set to be the birthplace of the new Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch and Samsung will be quick footed when getting the former onto the market, pushing for a September release.
This new report comes from SamMobile, who have gotten a tip on the release dates for the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear, the two products Samsung will show at the IFA event on September 4. Samsung has another event scheduled on September 5 on tablets and desktops, but no news on release dates has been revealed, yet.
Samsung has made a mark of always getting their phones out quick, with the Galaxy S4 coming out just weeks after the New York City launch and many mid-range smartphones and tablets getting released the day of the event or launch.
This move to keep excitement there has worked out well for Samsung, it allows the South Korean company to push the advertising brawn straight away, getting the product worldwide media attention in the first few weeks.
For the Galaxy Gear, Samsung will launch the smartwatch in October, a month after the event. We still have no clue what the Galaxy Gear will look like or what unique features it will have compared to the Pebble and Sony Smartwatch 2.
The Galaxy Note 3 will be a top of the line device, with the Exynos 5/Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32, 64 or 128GB of onboard storage and a gigantic 3,300mAh battery. That is not to mention the 5.7-inch 1080p display set to arrive with the third generation Note.
