The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is getting the Android 4.2.2 update, at least in the UK for now. The update is live for the Wi-Fi version of the tablet, which bears the model number GT-P3110. The update changes the build number to P3110XXDMH1. It will apparently roll out in phases, so don’t be surprised if it hasn’t been spotted on your tablet yet. Either way, it is advised to manually check for updates just to make sure. Alternatively, you can flash the ROM manually through the links provided by Sam Mobile if you’re impatient. The tablet made its way to the U.S. last month.
The update will bring much needed software improvements to the tablet like multiple user accounts, improved battery life, quick settings panel and overall performance enhancements. It is good to know that Samsung is updating devices like the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, which have been long forgotten in the midst of several other tablets. Unlike its smartphones, Samsung’s tablets haven’t exactly kicked off in the market.
