The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini has been on the European and Asian markets for over a year now, officially being revealed a few months after the Galaxy S3 as a cheaper and smaller variant with lower performance.
For the past year, it seemed Samsung would not be bringing the smaller low-end device to the US, but a new leak from evleaks seems to suggest the Galaxy S3 Mini will make a delayed arrival on AT&T in the coming months.
Android in 2013 has seen a big shift in performance and the movement on the platform makes it feel like quad-core processors and 1080p screen have been around forever.
Even though this was originally sold as a mid-range device, the Galaxy S3 Mini has seen better days and now goes for about £199 in the UK and the same price in Europe. With a 4-inch 800×480 screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 5MP camera, the price comes as no surprise.
AT&T loves its exclusives, but this one is a little too late to matter. The Galaxy S4 Mini is expected to come to the US in the coming months and we wonder what the initiative is behind selling a phone already a year old.
