The Galaxy Note line already solidified the phablet line of devices for Samsung, but the company decided with the recent hype on even bigger devices they would launch the 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega, making the Galaxy Note look minuet.
Oddly this was not a high-end device, with the Galaxy Mega coming with a 720p display, 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1.5GB of RAM. It seems Samsung wanted to deep their feet into the even larger phablet market before making a big move.
The Galaxy Mega has been loved by some, questioned by others and hated by the rest. It is beyond the edge of what a regular person would call a smartphone, with it only being 0.7-inches smaller than the Nexus 7.
Even with the different opinions, Samsung has been prepping the Galaxy Mega launch into new markets following its inception in Asia and Europe. We have heard about Canada and now evleaks has released a press image with the AT&T logo.
It is likely we will see the Galaxy Mega come on AT&T service for $49 or $99 on a two year contract or free for an unannounced price. This size is still not fitting for most users, but for the small niche that want a mega device, they will be glad to hear one of them is coming to the US.
