Official Android 4.2.2 ROM for the Galaxy S2 Plus now available

Galaxy S2 Plus

A new leak has revealed the Android 4.2.2 ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus confirming that an update is on the horizon. It was reported yesterday that the Galaxy S2 won’t be receiving the update to 4.2.2 citing performance issues. However, the Galaxy S2 Plus packs a slightly changed hardware, which rules out any performance related issues with TouchWiz or Android 4.2.2.

The best part however is that the Android 4.2.2 ROM is now available for download over at the XDA Forums. The official update will reportedly begin rolling out in the coming days with Germany being the first to get it.

Considering that an update is on the horizon, it makes sense to wait rather than flashing the new ROM, as it can usually be a risky process. However, if you’re impatient enough to get your hands on Android 4.2.2, you can head over to the source link below and flash the ROM at your own risk.
