Latest Android 4.3 factory images now available

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Google has just posted factory images of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for most of its Nexus devices which includes the new Nexus 7. Users of the Nexus 4, GSM Galaxy Nexus, the Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013) and Nexus 10 tablets can now download factory images of the latest version of Android straight from Google.

This comes as the T-Mobile Nexus 4 and the 2013 Nexus 7 received a minor update a couple of days ago. These factory images feature the latest build numbers, which in the case of Nexus 4, Nexus 10, Galaxy Nexus and the 2012 Nexus 7 is JWR66Y and JSS15Q for the new Nexus 7. Sadly, CDMA variants of Nexus devices still don’t have factory images.

Users can now flash various ROMs onto their system with the assurance that if something goes wrong, there’s always a stock version of Android to retain normalcy. Google has warned newbies to proceed with caution as flashing ROMs can be quite a daunting task if you haven’t done it before.
