Even though HTC wants to condense their mobile development to a few core brands, it seems the HTC Zara range will live on for another generation, with evleaks releasing a new photo showing the mid-range device.
This will complete the next generation brands, with the One for the high-end and the Desire for the low-end. The Zara fits somewhere in the middle, with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and 2100mAh battery.
The HTC Zara will have a 4.5-inch qHD screen, 8MP camera and microSD card slot, no removable back, as we have come to expect from HTC. The Beats Audio brand returns once again, offering quality speaker-audio.
No mention on Android, we expect it to be Android 4.1 or Android 4.2.2. HTC is pretty slow to the peddle when it comes to latest updates, we doubt this phone will get Android 4.3 at launch. The phone will come with Sense 5.5 at launch, the newest version of HTCs UI.
The HTC Zara is set to make an appearance sometime in Q4 this year, with no price point released yet. With the mediocre specs and lacklustre storage space, we can see this coming at around $399 off contract.
One thing we really love about the image is the actual design of the HTC Zara, with the front facing speakers, minimalistic curved design and camera with flash it looks like a very nice mid-range Android smartphone, a lot more appealing than most of the plastic coming from LG and Samsung.
