The HTC One X+ smartphone has finally started receiving the Android 4.2.2 update bundled with the all new Sense 5 user interface. This update has been long overdue since the device was launched late last year. This will certainly raise hopes among HTC One X users as it packs similar hardware on board. The update to the One X+ comes roughly a month after the HTC One got the update to 4.2.2.
As expected, users will now receive all the goodies from Sense 5 and Android 4.2 like Blinkfeed, the Quick Settings panel and improved Google Now support. The changelog also mentions an improved battery life, which is yet to be put to test. As usual, this will be an OTA update, so you don’t have to manually check for updates. However, users can check through HTC’s desktop sync software to ascertain if an update is live. Regardless of that, an update notification should pop up when it’s ready. Users are advised to stay on an unlimited Wi-Fi connection to avoid expensive data bills while downloading the update.
