HTC One X getting Android 4.2.2 update in Europe

one x update

HTC has finally begun rolling out the Android 4.2.2 update for its 2012 flagship, the One X. The update is currently live in Europe with other regions slated to follow suit soon. This was much expected after the company started rolling out the update for the One X+ a couple of weeks ago. So make sure you keep a check for the OTA update if you own a Tegra 3 powered HTC One in Europe.

The update to Android 4.2.2 will also bring the new Sense 5 UI to the One X, which was first seen on the HTC One. This in turn brings features like Blinkfeed, a refined Gallery app and video highlights. The size of the update is claimed to be a touch over 379MB so make sure you’re on an unlimited connection if you wish to download the new 4.2.2 version of Android. The update will change the build number to 4.18.401.2. If you’re not seeing the update, it’s probably because this is a slow roll out, meaning it will partially hit devices around the world.
