HTC Mini+ remote goes official on company website

HTC Mini+ Remote

HTC has just launched the new Mini+ remote for its top of the line handsets. The Mini+ functions as a secondary phone for your smartphone when your actual phone isn’t near you. Users can even read messages, emails on the device and use it as a remote when the phone is connected to an HDTV or monitors during presentations. Additionally, phone calls can be made as it features regular sized physical dialer keys. This trendy gadget can also take images from the camera of your smartphone.

The HTC Mini+ remote feature a 1.5 inch 4 gray white OLED display with a resolution of 128×128. It works on Bluetooth and NFC technology, so users can’t exactly take it far away from their reach. We recently saw the HTC One in UK receiving a minor update which introduced compatibility with this gadget. The device has gone live on its global website, with no details available on the price and launch just yet.

The HTC One Mini, Butterfly S, Desire 500 and Desire 200 are apparently compatible with the Mini+, with the HTC One missing from the list. But that’s mainly due to the aforementioned update not going live in all parts of the world yet. The HTC Mini+ is a neat idea, especially for larger devices. This gadget could serve users well when the much awaited One Max phablet arrives.
