There’s been a lot of talk lately that Sony will be releasing a mini version of their upcoming Honami device which is said to be called the Honami Mini. This device is going to be different from the mini versions coming from other manufacturers in a sense that it does not come with underpowered hardware specs. In fact it more or less has the same specs as the bigger Honami with the only difference in screen size.
Just recently a new member of the xda forums made a post on the said forum stating that “You didn’t see this from me… but 4th of Sep is gonna be exciting! Thats all I’m saying!” There’s also an attached photo included of two smartphones one of which is the Blackberry Q10 while the other is supposedly the Honami Mini although no indication was made on the photo.
The photo could be a fake but then again it could also be real. The Blackberry Q10 has dimensions of 119.6 x 66.8 x 10.4 mm and the device on its side appears to be a Sony model that is a tad smaller. There is no Xperia 2013 device with that design that has smaller dimensions than the Blackberry Q10 so it could still be an upcoming device, quite possible the Honami Mini.
As of this time Sony has not made any announcements on this yet, making sure that everything is under wraps. The company is expected to reveal their new devices at the upcoming IFA event in Berlin on 4 September.
As for the specifications of the Honami Mini we’ve already leaked it in our previous post. It is said to come with a 4.3 inch 720p TRILUMINOS display. Inside the device is a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 combined with 2 GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage and comes with a microSD slot for expansion. It has a 20.7 MP rear camera that comes with a 1/2.3″ sensor, f2.0 aperture size and a Sony G Lens.
