Halo 2.0 from Paranoid Android gets a video demo

Paranoid Android

The Paranoid Android team has sent out an update to its custom ROM and introduced some new tweaks to its existing features. One such feature is Halo, which is a neat multitasking feature bearing resemblance to the Facebook chat heads which pop up in a round bubble. Halo has been updated to version 2.0 which brings bug fixes and improved functionality. The feature now supports multi touch user input as well which means that users can interact with it without having to leave the running app. As demoed briefly in the video, the user is seen playing a game while interacting freely with Halo without really harming the progress on the app or opening another window.

This new feature will be available in Paranoid Android 3.9.7 and can be downloaded from the source links provided at the end of this article. As with any new update, this is bound to have a few bugs and the developers have only tested this on the Nexus 4 (Mako) for now, so users of other smartphones might have to wait a bit before getting a fully functional release of the newest Paranoid Android ROM.
