Pantech may not be a popular brand in the United States but in its home country in South Korea it is as popular as Samsung and LG. Their products are generally beautiful and can compete head on with some of the best models of the competition. New reports indicate that the company will be releasing an upcoming smartphone called the Pantech Vega LTE-A (IM-A880S) and its release will coincide with that of the LG G2.
Photos of the device have leaked out showing its front and back sides. Interestingly enough this will just be the third smartphone in South Korea to support the LTE-Advanced standard.

The specs indicate that this is a premium high-end device meant to compete with the likes of the LG G2. Its power button is even placed at the back which is the same as that of the LG G2. As an added way to control the device a touchpad is present at the back.
Pantech will be officially announcing this device this coming August 6 in South Korea. It is expected to become available at SK Telecom, a South Korean wireless operator. There are still no reports as to whether there will be an international release for this model.
