Details and Specs of ASUS MeMo Pad FHD 10 Surface
Asus announced about two months ago that it was in the process of making a new MeMo Pad tablet that would come into the market in the last quarter of 2013. Just the other day, the company unveiled a number of smartphone and tablet devices to come to the market soon as it tries to cut a significant niche of the booming smartphone and tablet market, currently dominated by the likes of Samsung, HTC and Sony. Details of a 10 inch tablet in the MeMo Pad family have surfaced detailing the core specs and even images of Asus’ next 10 incher.
The ASUS MeMo Pad FD 10 is a 10 inch Android tablet that boasts of a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 64 GB inbuilt memory and will be just 9.9 mm thick with a 572 mass. This new tablet will be coming in two variants: The first, the 4G LTE version, will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 or 800 processor, the exact model and clock speed are not available yet, and the second, which will be sold as non-LTE, will have a less powerful 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor.
Many other core specs and details of this new tablet have not been leaked yet, for instance RAM. It is however likely that the LTE version will have 2 or 3 GB of RAM while the non-LTE version with the less powerful processor may have 1 or 2 GB of RAM. The
For now, what we know is that the tablet (both versions) will have a full True HD 1920 x 1200 IPS screen with a 178° viewing angle, a 5 megapixels rear camera with autofocus, dual SonicMaster Technology Stereo speakers (not sure if they will be front or back facing), Miracast for seamless Video to TV streaming and a microSD card slot to expand the 64 GB internal memory by up to 64 GB. The ASUS MeMo Pad FD 10 will have a battery that ASUS promises can provide up to 10 hours of use per single charge and will be available in Black and White colors for now.
