AT&T will not support unlocked bootloaders

With the Moto X coming on T-Mobile, US Cellular, Sprint and Rogers with an unlocked bootloader, we thought all the carriers would be unanimous in their decision, but it seems the two big ones have once again let the party down.

Verizon stated first they would not support unlocked bootloaders and AT&T have said they will never support the bootloaders, this apparently will go for all future devices released by AT&T.

In a message back to Android Police, AT&T said:

“To ensure a safe and consistent experience on your wireless device, we do not support unlocked bootloaders.”
