ZTE will reportedly reveal the Nubia N5 Mini on Tuesday. Already, the China-based phone maker has sent out invitations to members of the press to attend the unveiling.
The invitation sports a multi-colored design, suggesting that the mini edition of the ZTE Nubia N5 will come in different hues. Alleged photos of the mini smartphone have already leaked out, showing the ZTE Nubia N5 Mini in pink, yellow, and blue.
For its technical specifications, the ZTE Nubia N5 Mini is expected to feature a 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Krait 300 CPU, which, interestingly, is better than the processor on the full-sized ZTE Nubia N5. The Nubia N5, which was launched in December 2012, came with a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset.
The same mini smartphone is rumored to pack 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, an 8 MP rear-facing camera, and various modes of connectivity.
Its dimensions will be 65.7 x 134.8 x 10.3mm whereas its weight will be about 160 g.
ZTE has not confirmed nor denied these rumors, but everything will be clear when they take the wraps off the smartphone.
The ZTE Nubia N5 Mini will have to contend against the slew of mini editions of smartphones that are hitting the market, or are bound to arrive on the market soon. Among such smartphones are the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, the HTC One Mini, and mini versions of handsets from Lenovo and Huawei.
