Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has maintained a low profile in the global arena, but that could change with the launch of the rumored Mi3 smartphone. A new image has leaked showing off the front of the smartphone and it certainly looks like something we would be interested in. The image reveals a pretty narrow bezel with a Mi logo on the top left, and well that’s about it.
The rumor mill claims that the smartphone will pack a 5.5 inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, a 13MP camera with a 5MP front facing camera, a 3,600 mAh battery and NFC. It is believed that the company will announce the smartphone on the 16th of August, so we’ll know more about global availability and pricing then.
The Mi3 is supposedly a successor to the Mi2 which was a mid-range 4.3 inch smartphone from last year. The company expects to sell over 15 million smartphones this year, so the Mi3 could be crucial with that goal.
