Vine for Android Gets a Big Update

Vine now is even more on par with its iOS counterpart app. Today’s update brings the grid view when recording, the channels feature, you can auto-focus better, and you can now re-vine videos so people can see the videos you’ve seen and (presumably) like. It also gets a new Android-exclusive feature that lets you put a widget on your home screen to jump straight into recording mode on Vine. Here’s the full release notes:

Browse or submit your posts to 15 new channels
Share your favorite posts with all your followers on Vine in one tap
Instantly jump to the Vine camera right from your home screen
Shoot with style using the new focus, grid, and ghost tools
Other updates:
• A new mute button in the menu
• Performance improvements

As you can see, there’s lots of new stuff and fixes in this version. I just wish they would add a draft feature so you could record videos while on 3G or 4G and upload them later on Wifi. That feature would help those of us with non-unlimited plans stay within our limits. For those of you that use Vine, go ahead and download it. As before, Vine requires Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 and above and is free.
