Sprint Galaxy S4 now receiving update to MF9, adds Apps to SD feature

Today seems to be the day for software updates. After we reported that the Verizon Galaxy S4 was receiving a software update, the Sprint version is now receiving one as well. The new software update comes in at MF9, and will bring a Apps to SD storage feature, the same as the Verizon Galaxy S4 is receiving.

From the Sprint Community, Software Update MF9 will specifically bring:

– HD Voice enhancements

– Audio Clipping with headphones at higher levels

– Enable market app installation on sd card

– Wallpaper modifications – removed one and added two new ones

– Corrected issue causing “Unfortunately Messaging has Stopped”

Unlike the Verizon Galaxy S4, the Sprint Galaxy S4 will be receiving this update OTA. The update will be 357MB, however, so make sure your battery is fully charged before you download the update. The update should begin rolling out today.
