Sony Xperia Honami hits the FCC, could launch in September

 Sony Xperia Honami

The Sony Honami i1 has just made an appearance at the FCC confirming a few of its specs as well as the launch date. This is not the first time we’re coming across a leak of the Sony Honami, but this is certainly the most conclusive leak we’ve had so far as it comes directly from the FCC. It is being claimed that the smartphone could arrive by the last week of September or early October.

The specs sheet has been confirmed again, with a 5 inch 1080p display, a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 chip and the 20.7MP (1/2.3) Sony G Lens camera. The device is also rumored to be water and dust resistant much like most of the Xperia flagships of the year. The battery on board is claimed to be 3,000 mAh which is a major bump from the Xperia Z (2,330 mAh). The smartphone will apparently come with Android 4.2.2 out of the box, with an update to Android 4.3 almost inevitable. The Xperia Honami could be launched in Black, White and Purple color variants.
