Sony has been hyperactive since the last couple of weeks or so with the launch of the Xperia Z Ultra and the rumored announcement of the Honami coming up. And it now seems like the announcement of the Honami is closer as Sony has given out press invites for its IFA 2013 press event on September 4 in Berlin. This is when the Samsung Galaxy Note III is rumored to be announced as well. The Sony Honami will allegedly boast an industry topping camera, which explains why there’s so much hype around it.
Apart from the camera credentials, the smartphone is also said to feature a Snapdragon 800 chip and a 5 inch 1080p display. So this could be a direct replacement to the Xperia Z which also features a 5 inch 1080p display.
The Honami has been part of several leaks, so we have a fair idea of what to expect. The smartphone also goes by the name Sony i1. For now, all we can do is wait until September 4 to learn more about this new Sony smartphone and hope the company launches something praiseworthy.
