The new Nexus 7 was announced with great aplomb last morning by Google, with launch slated to commence on the 30th of this month. As we learnt from a Best Buy pre order listing, the Nexus 7 will also launch via retail channels in the country instead of just the Play Store. And one such retail chain is going to be Staples, which has now put up a listing on its site.
Although the tablet is listed as “out of stock“, it’s good to know that Google is expanding its horizon with the new Nexus 7. The 2012 Nexus 7 gradually began rolling out to retail outlets with the Play Store being the only source to buy it during the first few months of the launch.
Staples has both the 16 and 32GB variants of the smartphone up for grabs for $229.99 and $269.99 respectively. We’re guessing the listing will go live on the 30th which isn’t long from now. With the amount of hardware upgrades packed with the new Nexus 7, we can expect to see quite a lot of buyers interested in snatching up the tablet on launch day. Users can also head over to their nearest Best Buy or Staples outlets on the 30th to check out the new tablet in person.
