New Lenovo K6 spotted with Snapdragon 800 chip

A new Lenovo smartphone has caught the camera’s attention appearing to be running on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core chip, which is considered a powerhouse in the mobile industry. The smartphone is apparently known as the Lenovo K6 or X910. One of the images reveals the smartphone running a benchmarking app, which shows all the essential information about the smartphone. There seems to be a 1920×1080 Full HD panel which is standard for all Android flagships today. The K6 is also very slim and light, according to the source of the leak.

We’re not overly positive about the prospects of this new smartphone outside China, but given the kind of hardware it packs, it wouldn’t be wise of Lenovo to limit its launch to a particular region. Lenovo is a major player in China, which matters a lot as it is the most populous country in the world. But the company is yet to prove itself as a contender in the global arena in the midst of giants like Samsung. Let’s hope the Lenovo K6 makes its way to world markets as well, especially here in the U.S.
