According to a report from Digitimes, HTC is preparing for a Q3 release of the One Mini. The smartphone has made several appearances in rumors before, including images, but it’s finally good to get some sort of information about the launch. The report emerges from supply chain sources in Taiwan.
We’re not sure if the rumor can be trusted just yet, but everything seems to add up very nicely, especially considering how Samsung has its own mini version of the Galaxy S4 flagship. Q3 could well mean this month or the next, but we’re led to believe that the smartphone could be announced by the end of this month.
We’ve heard in the past that the One Mini could arrive in the U.S via T-Mobile as a decent mid ranged offering. Needless to say, the smartphone will compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. This means we can expect an announcement to be made soon. Luckily for HTC, it doesn’t have several variants of one smartphone which could be very confusing for a first time buyer.
