Convincing Moto X leak confirms most of the specs

Moto X Front

This is perhaps the most convincing leak of the Moto X we’ve seen so far, thanks to the folks at Android Police. The site has managed to access a complete round of images, covering almost every aspect of the smartphone, and more importantly, the full specs sheet of the smartphone. This is accompanied by AnTuTu Benchmark and 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme scores. The smartphone shown here seems to be the AT&T variant of the Moto X which goes by the codename “Ghost” or XT1058.

Let’s round off the specs first:

  • 4.7 inch 720×1184 display including the onscreen buttons
  • Dual core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960DT chipset
  • Adreno 320 GPU
  • 10.5MP rear camera, 2.1MP front facing camera
  • 16GB of internal storage (about 12GB actual storage)
  • 2GB RAM
  • 2,200 mAh battery (non-removable)
  • No microSD card slot

Moto X Back

The smartphone scored 18,753 on AnTuTu Benchmark, while scoring 7,143 on 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme. The score obtained from the graphics test reveal that the Moto X is far ahead of the competition. We’re excited to finally get a confirmation of the specs of the smartphone, but I don’t see a lot of people getting excited over this. With over 10 days left for launch, leaks like these certainly put a damper on the mystery element of product announcements.
