Galaxy S3 and S4 Charging, S Voice and Dictionary Problems and Solutions

galaxy s3 problems

Today, I will just do a quick run on some common problems encountered by Galaxy S3 and S4 users like issues in charging, S Voice and the phone dictionary.

#1. Phone Not Charging

Among the common causes of this problem are minor glitches in the system or problematic hardware. A quick way to fix this is by restarting your phone. Check also if the outlet is providing enough electricity to juice up your device. See to it that the port of the power cord in your device is properly plugged in too.

If you notice that the port of your charger is already loose, have it repaired in a center authorized by your carrier or the manufacturer of your gadget. Have your battery replaced as well if it is already too old and you think that it is the one causing the problem.

#2. S Voice Network Error

Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 users have been complaining a lot about the S Voice losing network connection every now and then. Unfortunately, this has been attributed to the current firmware of the device based on forums in XDA and Android Central. So, users will only have to wait until Samsung rolls out a new OTA update to fix the problem.

Despite this claim from various users, the solutions below might still be worth a try. Start from the first and proceed to the rest if the problem persists:

a. Reboot your device or perform a force restart.

b. Turn off your WiFi. Some users have noticed that the app seemed to work just fine when using the 3G or 4G services of their carrier.

c. Check if you have Adblock Plus installed. Uninstall or disable it. Several users found out that it is interfering in the WiFi connection of S Voice. Some root apps or explorers are said to be causing the problem too. So, just uninstall or disable them to get the S Voice app to work.

#3 Galaxy S3 Dictionary Does Not Recognize Added Words

After some users have added a word to their Samsung Galaxy S3 dictionary, they noticed that many of the added words still do not appear automatically when composing a message. So far, there is no known fix for this because the problem has been attributed to the limitations of the software.

You can opt for apps that would do it better though like Swype, Smart Keyboard and Perfect Keyboard Free.
