A week ago, we had seen Asus tease us with their new Zenbook series. Today, they have finally unveiled the Zenbook Infinity, an interesting addition to their existing Zenbook lineup.
The Zenbook Infinity is quite different from its earlier siblings as it would be the first laptop to feature Gorilla Glass 3 panel.
The Zenbook is made of Aluminum and glass, with the gorilla glass protecting its lid and the portion besides the keyboard. The integration of Gorilla glass 3 into the ultrabook would indeed make it more sturdy and durable. The company boasts that the device is 3 times more scratch resistant than its earlier versions.
Another interesting feature of the device is that it’s only 15.5mm thick, which means that it’s almost 14 percent thinner than its earlier versions. Moreover, the Zenbook infinity boasts of a touchscreen display (these days consumers love such displays) and a backlit keyboard. The other specs of the device include a 28W dual core Intel Haswell processor, mini display port, micro HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports and a SD card reader.
Further details on the pricing and other specs will be revealed later this year.
We can expect the Zenbook to hit the stores only by the end of the year.
