The tablet was up for preorder in US from April itself but the shipping starts only from May 24th. Sony’s Xperia Z tablet is the world’s slimmest and the lightest android tablet available and the water and dust resistance surface makes the device even more attractive.

The device is available in two storage variants, the 16GB version and the 32GB version. For the 32GB version you can choose between two standard colors namely black and white, however you only get one color for the 16GB version, i.e. black.

For a device that is so thin and light, the specs will surely impress you (It just weighs 495 grams). The tablet features a 10.1 inch Full HD Reality Display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels along with 1.5 GHz Qualcomm APQ8064+MDM9215M Quad Core processor and Adreno 320 GPU. The tablet is well connected too with inbuilt connectivity options like WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI and NFC.

Till now, Sony hasn’t been able to make any considerable progress in the market with their range of tablets but this device surely looks like something that could change the company’s fortunes in the industry. The device starts off at $499.99 for the 16GB model with the 32GB model priced at $599.99.

Although this might not be the cheapest tablet in the market, the various features of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z surely sets itself apart from regular competitors. The dust proof and the water proofing capability itself will lure in a lot of customers towards this sleek device.

This definitely looks like one of the best tablets of 2013, so make sure you take a look at this device when you go out to buy one in the market.
