Sony Allegedly Has A Quadcore Smartphone With 20 Megapixel Camera In The Works

sonyWe have heard a lot of rumors regarding the launch of Sony’s new products. The most popular one was about the ‘phablet’ which was to have a 6.44 inch full HD display and was to be known as Togari. It was expected that this new device would be launched at the Mobile World Congress that took place in February.

However, there has been no news about the ‘phablet’ since a long time. Now, there is yet another rumor prevailing in the Smartphone industry which is about the company working on a Smartphone with a 20 Megapixel Camera with Cybershot CMOS sensor and Carl Zeiss lens. It is believed that Sony will be launching atleast two new Smartphones this year.

The exact date as to when the phones will be launched in the market is not known but it is expected that they will be launched sometime this year. Some more news regarding the phone is expected at the IFA Trade show which is to be held in September.

Experts argue that these phones will prove to be major trend setters in the Smartphone industry and will definitely attract a lot of attention, despite of immense competition.

The codename which one of the device will be featuring is expected to be Honami. We learnt that the Honami will be having a 5″ Full HD Display along with a 20 Megapixel camera, for improved picture results.

The Smartphone will feature one of the latest SoC’s, the Snapdragon 800 by Qualcomm and will have a 2GB Ram. With a 2.3 quadcore GHz processor, the phone is also expected to be dust and water resistant, the features which many of the new Smartphones have.

As regards to the battery power, it is believed that the battery will be non replaceable, a concept which is becoming very usual, and will provide with a current of 2700 to 300mAh. So let’s wait and see what Sony has for us this time around.
