Meet The Actwell i6000, World’s First 6.5 Inch Full HD 1080p Phablet

China is home to various device manufacturers out to make a mark in the industry. One of the fastest routes to get noticed is to make a device that is the “world’s thinnest” or the “world’s slimmest”. Chinese device maker Actwell is trying to make its own mark in the industry by promoting its Actwell i6000 phablet. What’s unique about this device is that it comes with a full HD 1080p 6.5 inch display. This makes it have an amazing resolution of 1920 x 1080.

Actwell might not be a popular brand in the international scene but the company has been manufacturing various OEM devices in China. Their latest phablet model is expected to be released in China this coming mid-June with a price that is yet to be announced. According to reports there is no chance that the device will be officially available in the international market but its definitely worth knowing what the Chinese have in their market.

Actwell i6000 Technical Specifications

  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • dual SIM support
  • 6.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display
  • 13 mega-pixel rear camera
  • 3 mega-pixel front camera
  • quad-core MediaTek MT6589 CPU
  • GPS and A-GPS
  • 3,150 mAh battery

The main selling point of this device is obviously its 6.5 inch display with a full HD resolution. This is probably the first 6.5 inch device in the world to cram in a full HD resolution on its display. This isn’t actually difficult to achieve since the bigger the screen size the easier and cheaper it is to achieve an HD resolution.

In terms of physical appearance this device has a surprisingly great design. Those who have seen it have said that it’s one of the best looking phablets they have seen. Its back part looks quite similar to the HTC One X with a hint of Nubia Z5 styling. The front portion has narrow borders, a physical home button and a pleasant oblong shape.
