Sony proudly showed off its 4K TVs at CES 2013 but $25,000 for an 84-inch 4K TV will surely make you think several times before buying one. Sony has now revealed the prices for two new 4k TVs which will not empty your pockets completely. Bravia XBR-55X900A and the XBR-65X900A with 55 and 65 inches display will cost you $4,999 and $6,999 respectively.
Both the TV models features Triluminous display with X-Reality PRO and Motionflow XR960 technology along with one-touch screen mirroring. They are also equipped with WIFI and NFC connectivity options. The images look stunning on Sony’s 4K TVs with the resolution of 3840 x 2160 which is four times that of Full HD TV and features dynamic edge-lit, LED backlighting. A set of 65-watt front-facing speakers which are present alongside the display offers a powerful audio solution.
Sony also showed off a prototype with 56-inch display but still no details have been revealed regarding it. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment also introduced “Mastered in 4K” Blu-ray discs, and the company is offering Ghostbusters and Spider-Man, which are 1080p versions optimized for 4K TVs.
Pre orders for Sony Bravia XBR-55X900A and the XBR-65X900A will begin on April 21, 2013 at Sony Stores and select retailers.
