So what is NightSky HD all about? The game will remind you of Worlds of Goo with its gloomy colors. It’s a physics based puzzle game where you will be able to pilot a small ball through obstacles and mazes. You will have to take into consideration several factors such as speed, gravity, rotation and momentum to successfully control the ball.

The control scheme of the game is easy as all you have to do is swipe to the left or right. As you progress through the stages you will be introduced to other control features such as tapping on the screen, swiping up and down, and tapping various elements.

Some of the game features include

  • 2D Platform/Puzzle Game
  • Advanced 2D physics model
  • Multiple Game Difficulties (Normal and Alternative)
  • Multiple “vehicles”, each with specific uses and controls
  • Additional, unlockable secret Bonus Levels
  • Original ambient soundtrack by musician, Chris Schlarb

Despite having a simplistic approach to graphics and sound the game is really quite addictive. While the game mechanics may be easy at first it becomes quite a challenge as you progress through the levels.

Speaking of levels, the main ones have a solid black color with an ever changing background that mimics the sky. While your ball moves in the level the screen does not scroll with it. If your ball reaches the end of the panel you are immediately introduced to the beginning of a new one.

If you are into mind challenging games then NightSky HD is definitely worth your time.
