If you really think Apple iPhone 5 is expensive, think again!! How about a 15.3 million dollars iPhone 5 with the goodness of gold and diamonds?? Well seems interesting isn’t it?? Stuart Hughes, a Liverpool-based jeweler has come up with iPhone 5 with gold and diamonds; earlier Stuart also made a diamond iPhone 4, Platinum MacBook Air and Gold iPad 2. He also created a Fiat 500 worth $655,000.
It took Stuart 9 weeks to build this stunning piece of technology and above all the complete device is made by hand. The outer casing has been made from 135g of 24-carat gold while the home button button carries 26-carat black diamond which alone costs $14.5 million.
iPhone’s glass is replaced with Sapphire glass which Apple uses in its camera lens. 52 diamonds make up the Apple logo at back and 600 white diamonds covers the edges of this beauty. According to Stuart Hughes, “The most difficult part of building the phone was the solid gold chassis.”
A Chinese businessman who owned this black diamond met designer Stuart Hughes in Liverpool and presented him with the diamond. The identity of the Chine businessman is still unknown.
The internals are unchanged with Dual core Apple A6 chip, PowerVR SGX 543MP3 graphics, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera and 4-inch Retina display.
The iPhone 5 covered with gold and diamonds is a stunner and the $15.3 million price tag makes it the most expensive smartphone to date. Well I can say that this is what we get when “Beauty meets brains.”
