Apple is finally doing what other electronics manufacturers had feared it would – entering the TV market. This was one sector of technology where Apple had no presence at all and Sony and Samsung shared the top spot. All that is about to change with Apple all set to hit homes with its new iTV, a whooping 60 inch screen with all of Apple’s brilliant specs – the TV will most probably sport Apple’s RETINA display and super high resolution for clear, sharp, crisp and bright pictures! The TV is rumored to be priced from $1,500 to $2,500.
Controlling the TV will be a ring, the ‘iRing’ and not a traditional remote. The user can wear the controller on his or her finger. The TV also comes in the 50 inch and 55 inch variants.
Another offering from Apple is the tablet sized mini TV with a screen size of 9.7 inches. The iTV is rumored to be able to stream video wirelessly to the smaller screen. This works the way set top boxes share video with iPads and other tablets.
The iTV is finally making a grand entry into the world of television. In a world of HD screens, the iTV fits in perfectly with a massive display that offers users a brilliant visual experience. Apple will soon take over home theatre systems with the launch if it’s new iTV. The iTV – AppleTV combination will make for a fantastic home theatre experience! Samsung, Sony, LG, Philips and Panasonic, say hello to arch rival’s Apple’s brand new offering – a 60 inch television!
